Series
introduction
I
remember the moment like it was yesterday.
I had awakened softly with my eyes welling
for joy and a dawning awareness that my lifelong
pain ritual had disappeared. This pain I'm
speaking of wasn't physical but psychic—dread,
frustration, and doubt so sharp that I would
scream silently to myself many times every
day.
In
that same moment I was also making a surprising
internal connection: It was through my growing
awareness of my body that my mind had discovered
this pathway of release and renewal. The feedback
I was receiveing through my body was showing
me how to silence my mind and hear things
I'd never heard before.
What
does body awareness and mental silence have
to do with manifestation and attraction? Everything.
Absolutely everything. That’s what these articles
are about.
What you’ll learn
In the upcoming series of four articles,
we’ll take a look at the amazing connection
between body awareness and creation.
We'll also examine in very practical terms:
•
a new view of creation that is so simple
and clear that you can use it to speed manifestation
in every area of your life.
• how to place attention upon your body
in a way that releases resistance (mind
chatter) and produces a vastly deeper connection
with your inner guidance/higher power.
• how to use this freedom to attract more
of what you want in your life and less of
what you don't want.
• how to create consciously, deliberately,
spontaneously, and continuously.
Further,
we’ll look at why your special interest in
massage may have more to do with an inner
desire to create as consciously and effectively
as possible than you may have suspected. The
role of body awareness is so profound and
fundamental to the process of creation that
your interest in the body may actually be
the manifestation of a previous intention
to create more powerfully.
A
look ahead
In the interest of helping you organize all
that we’ll cover in this series of articles,
here's a summary of what we’ll be discussing:
1.
We attract into our lives what we focus
upon.
2. If we are experiencing resistance/"negative"
emotion, then we are pushing away what we
want and are simultaneously attracting more
of what we don't want.
3. Learning to focus on the sensations of
the body is the most powerful way known
to eliminate resistance.
4. Therefore, listen to your body and feel—feel
all of it.
There,
that’s it. The Beyond Your Wildest Dreams
series in a nutshell. If you've got it, no
need to read further. If you want more, I’ve
got one question for you: “Ready for another
rabbit hole, Alice?”
ARTICLE 1:
WHAT WORKS: THE
BASIC ELEMENTS OF MANIFESTATION
This is article #1 in a four-part series.
In today’s article, we’ll create a context
for understanding why body awareness is so
important to the process of deliberate creation.
We’ll begin by looking briefly at how
manifestation works and what makes it work
fastest. Then we’ll examine the two
main obstacles to creation and why it’s so
helpful to learn to consciously manage our
thoughts and feelings.
The
three elements of manifestation
The model I am about to show you is the result
of three years of detailed research and study
into the subject. I believe it to be the most
simple yet comprehensive model in existence.
You will find that it underlies everything
you do and experience. Here’s the essence
of the process of creation:
Thought
+ emotion + time > manifestation
Thoughts
give birth to emotions. These energized thoughts
become desires, which manifest in reality
over time. Put slightly differently, we manifest
what we focus our thoughts/feelings upon.
Simple enough? Don’t be concerned if this
seems too abstract; examples of this model
are forthcoming later in this series of articles.
What
works fastest: the three elements in action
What you’re about to read may be the most
valuable thing I will ever communicate to
you or anyone else in my lifetime. When you
bring the three elements of manifestation
above to the forefront of your attention with
clarity, intensity, certainty, and eager anticipation,
you can rest assured that the objects of your
desires are speeding your way. Here again
is the manifestation equation, this time modified
for speed:
Clear
thought + intense emotion + eager anticipation
(over time) > speedy creation
This
description may not appear on the surface
to be too earthshaking. In fact, you may have
heard thoughts like this before. However,
if you consciously intend to put these principles
into operation, your life will never be the
same. Put forth a desire to understand how
this information relates to your life. As
you do, a new world will emerge for you. More
on these concepts lies ahead as well.
Becoming
more conscious
One of the main objections that people have
to the idea of creation goes something like
this: “I couldn’t have possibly attracted
that _____________ (problem) into my life.
That’s not at all what I wanted!”
Of
course it’s not what you wanted. You didn’t
attract it intentionally. You attracted it
unconsciously. You had repeated “negative”
thoughts and feelings that you weren’t awake
to, and voilà—you got what you focused
upon.
I’ve
read estimates by scientists that we humans
have between 12,000 and 65,000 thoughts a
day and that 50-95% of those are repeated
negative thoughts. That’s a lot of negative
thought impulses! How many of those thoughts
are you conscious of?
Most
of the time, none of us is aware of what we’re
thinking and feeling. We’re continually and
unconsciously focusing upon what we don't
want and launching new creations asking for
that. We're producing in our world more of
what we don’t want because we're thinking
about that.
Is
there a solution? Of course, and deep down
you know what it is. Simply allow yourself
to desire to become conscious of what you
are thinking/feeling and to focus upon who
you love and what you're grateful for. It's
so easy. But then you already knew that, didn't
you?
Becoming
more certain and expectant
Another primary reason that you may not be
creating what you want more quickly could
be that you are still learning to master how
to remain in emotional alignment (“certainty/eager
anticipation [over time]”) with the desires
you launch.
Many
conscious creators live under the mistaken
assumption that if they just think “harder”
or “more” about what they want, it will come
faster. The reality is just the opposite.
The
impetus for thinking “harder” or “more” about
a desire typically emerges from the negative
thought, “There’s something wrong here.” That’s
resistance, and resistance slows the manifestation
of what you are wanting. What you resist,
persists.
In
other words, if you find yourself saying,
“What did I do wrong? Why hasn’t this shown
up yet?” you’re living in a space of resistance.
Conversely, if you say to yourself, “I’m savoring
the anticipation. It’s going to be even better
than I expected,” that lives in the world
of certainty and eager anticipation. And it’s
thoughts like that, with their accompanying
positive emotions, that speed to you what
you want.
Managing
dominant thoughts/feelings
What’s somewhat tricky here is that if you’re
not consciously managing your thoughts/feelings
when things don’t show up for you, it can
be very easy to experience emotional resistance
(“negative feelings”) and therefore attract
yet more thoughts of resistance—and really
slow the manifestation of what you want.
Let’s
look at an example. Say I have a strong desire
to lose weight. Yet despite this desire, every
day I look in the mirror and unconsciously
entertain a limiting thought like, “I’m fat.”
Because thoughts and emotions are inextricably
woven, this thought is likely then followed
by a “negative” emotion, such as embarrassment
or shame. In this case, “I’m fat” is more
my dominant thought, and shame my dominant
feeling.
Because
all our thoughts and feelings are all being
emitted (like a radio transmitter) and responded
to (like a radio receiver), what can I expect
these thoughts/feelings will attract more
of in my life? For the answer, let’s look
back at the manifestation model above. What
have I just done according to this model?
Thought
(“I’m fat”) + Emotion (“embarrassment”) >
More “fatness” + “embarrassment”
Based
on this model, as much as I want to be thinner,
I’m still creating “fat,” because I’m focusing
on my “fatness” rather than eagerly anticipating
or imagining my desired future, “thinness.”
You cannot create being “thin” if your predominant
thoughts and feelings are ones of “fat.” The
attraction process is perfectly consistent
and will always give you what you focus upon.
It is the most consistent aspect of your life,
whether you notice it or not.
The
game therefore is to create a condition in
your mind/body where
• “thinness” is more real for you than the
“fatness” and
• being “thin” isn’t seen as an attempt to
fix you (fixing implies there’s something
wrong with you, and that’s just more resistance)
or
• being “thin” isn’t an attempt to fulfill
or complete you (you’re already complete and
nothing in the future will make you more complete
or bring you joy—that is a choice you make
in the present moment, not the future). We’ll
cover how to do this in later articles.
Summary
To review, here’s manifestation in
a nutshell: thought + emotion + time >
manifestation. If you want to speed manifestation,
create clarity of thought and intensity of
emotion, and learn to relax into the certainty
and eager anticipation of your desires fulfilled.
Want
to know how to be more effective at the game
of creation? Simply intend to become
more conscious of your “negative” thought/feelings.
They are signals that you’re creating more
of what you don’t want and resisting the arrival
of what you do want.
Finally,
consider that our thoughts and feelings are
attraction magnets. They bring to us what
we focus upon, whether we are conscious of
it or not. If you choose to place
your attention upon what you’re grateful for
in life, you will attract more thoughts and
experiences for which you can be grateful.
If you choose to find what’s wrong in others
or yourself, you will find more evidence why
people are wrong…and people will show up in
that way for you—“wrong.”
Therefore,
choose this very moment to live your life
consciously—awake to your thoughts and feelings
and grateful for the abundance and well-being
of life. I’ll say it again (this
is so important): Afford yourself this moment
the intention to live your life as a grateful
and conscious creator!
Next
time
The question we have yet to address is, “How
do I become as conscious a creator as possible?”
If you’ve already thought about and felt a
desire to be a conscious creator, that’s a
powerful start. Learning to be aware of your
body’s sensations is another potent step.
I’ll save that for our next article. And if
you’re interested in learning more, “intend”
to notice and read that article in our upcoming
newsletter!
