What’s Great About this Massage Anatomy & Kinesiology Course…

What Is Anatomy & Kinesiology?

Massage Anatomy 2 picks up where Anatomy 1 leaves off and provides more advanced education in the basic theories, structures and movement of the musculoskeletal system (bones and muscles) of the human body.

Students will also be introduced to how the body works for the purpose of ensuring that students can make therapeutic choices that avoid harm (contraindications) and promote optimum client health.

In our anatomy courses, students also explore their own motor skills and movements to assure proper body mechanics and systems and to promote optimum client health and healing during basic massage and bodywork sessions and in conversations.

Students will learn this basic anatomy using multiple learning techniques such as palpation, 3-D video technology, presentations and demonstrations, quizzes and flash cards. Students gain practical knowledge of the body’s fundamental workings on many levels.

What’s Special About How It’s Taught at World School of Massage?

Although many of our students have attended college and even graduate school, many have not. Of those who have not, many have had difficulty in learning through the use of modern teaching methods. For this reason, our courses in physiology, anatomy and pathology are designed to leverage different learning styles (visual, auditory and kinesthetic) and include mnemonic devices from ranging from drawing to humorous singing. In short, anatomy is fun and memorable and best of all, our students pass licensing exams!
