What’s Great About This Massage Anatomy and Kinesiology Class…

What Is Anatomy?

Massage Anatomy & Kinesiology 1 provides education in the basic theories, structures and movement of the musculoskeletal system (bones and muscles) of the human body.

In this anatomy and kinesiology course students will also explore proper body mechanics and systems and to promote optimum client health and healing during basic massage and bodywork sessions and in conversations.

Students will learn basic anatomy using multiple learning techniques such as palpation, 3-D video technology, presentations and demonstrations, quizzes and flash cards. Students gain practical knowledge of the body’s fundamental workings on many levels.

What’s Special About How This Massage Anatomy Course Is Taught

Although many of our students have attended college and even graduate school, many have not. Of those who have not, many have had difficulty in learning through the use of modern teaching methods. For this reason, our massage anatomy courses as will as our physiology and pathology courses are designed to leverage different learning styles (visual, auditory and kinesthetic) and include mnemonic devices from ranging from drawing to humorous singing. In short, anatomy is fun and memorable and best of all, our students pass licensing exams!
